IPL Photofacials

IPL photofacials are becoming one of the most popular options for remodeling and rejuvenating the skin from the inside out, and at SCULPT Contemporary Cosmetic Surgery, we utilize the advanced Cutera xeo® aesthetic laser system for these non-invasive, clinically proven treatments.

Serving the greater Omaha area in Nebraska, SCULPT is led by Dr. Gerard Stanley. Contact us today to schedule a consultation and find out if you are a candidate for non-invasive skin rejuvenation with IPL photofacials.

Q. What are IPL Photofacials?

Intense Pulsed Light, or IPL, is an advanced technique that blends the benefits of both light and laser, creating a treatment that corrects aging and damaged skin from the inside out without causing injury to the patient. The IPL photofacial is part of the Cutera xeo® system, a multi-function platform that is “made for today, but designed for tomorrow.”

IPL photofacials can reduce the appearance of skin imperfections and conditions such as:

  • Fine lines
  • Wrinkles
  • Brown spots
  • Overall tone and texture

There are many IPL systems on the market, but the Cutera xeo® has been proven to be the gold standard in brown spot removal and can also remodel and rejuvenate the skin from the inside out using deep thermal heating.

Q. What Can I Expect?

During this treatment, pulses of light-based laser energy are emitted into the skin in strategic areas, safely targeting deeper layers of skin without removing or damaging the surface. These 20-minute treatments can erase years from your skin without leaving any evidence that you have had a cosmetic treatment performed. You will be made comfortable throughout your visit at our Omaha office, and our medical team has been extensively trained to create only the best results for your condition.

Q. Is There Any Downtime?

Unlike other laser treatments that remove the outermost layers of the skin and require healing, IPL photofacials are designed to create dynamic results with no downtime. Some post-treatment redness and flushing may be present but should fade quickly after your procedure. After a photofacial has been performed, spots flake off over the next few days and fade from the skin. The collagen production stimulated by the deep dermal healing may take several weeks to revitalize the skin surface, but with regular treatment and a good skincare regimen, visible signs of aging and other imperfections can be effectively managed.
